Weekly Assignments

Due every Sunday, 11pm CST

 

Select, summarize and discuss two articles from each week's readings. You will summarize each article and include an opinion of the work and state why you agree or disagree with the author. Summary for each article should not exceed 300 words. Combine Summaries into one Word document and deposit in the appropriate Drop Box each Sunday by 11pm CDT/CST.

Strategic Plan Interview/Report

Due Thursday, September 20th, 11pm CST

 

Interview a Director who has strategic planning experience. Write a report of your findings and, using what you have learned from your readings, evaluate the plan/process.

 

Midterm: Information Audit

Due Tuesday, October 16th, 11pm CST

 

Conduct an Information Audit for a real or fictitious library.

 

Write a report outlining the objectives, process used for conducting the information audit, findings, and necessary action items to address shortcomings or required changes.

 

Final Assignment

Due Wednesday, December 12th, 11pm CST

 

Write a Vision, Mission and Strategic Plan including Goals, Objectives and Tactics for a real or fictitious library. Findings developed for your mid-term project will form the basis for this project.
