Current CC Emphasis (subject)

  • materials relating to Texas or Oklahoma
  • more executive branch materials/objects
  • a little on a lot of topics (space, taxation, health care, aviation, security, housing. etc.)

Directions for CC Emphasis (subject)

  • materials supporting the mission of the UNT Libraries
  • materials supporting the information needs of our user groups:
    • UNT students (undergrad, grad, TAMS, distance, non-traditional)
    • UNT faculty/staff/retirees
    • UNT alumni
    • visiting students (TWU, etc.)
    • TexShare cardholders
    • Denton community
    • the public
  • materials supporting UNT degree programs
    • those commonly visiting GovDocs
      • geology
      • history
      • criminal justice
    • those programs for which UNT is well-known
      • music
      • library science
      • education
      • applied behavior analysis
      • business computer information systems
      • computer science
      • criminal justice
      • emergency management
      • engineering technology
      • logistics and supply chain management
      • journalism
      • materials science

 

Other Criteria

  • a website produced by a government agency/commission
  • present topics (particularly controversial ones) from all sides
  • a website suspected of being emminently removed or changed due to:
    • later edits of material on the website
    • a website with material that frequently changes
    • website for an agency or commission that is now or soon-to-be defunct
    • website which has been untended for some time and is suspected to be no longer active (and may therefore be decommissioned at any time)
